The peaceful little village of Drouseia with its narrow winding streets and traditional stone houses is 10km inland from Polis. Set 635m above sea level the word “Drouseia” (from which the villa also takes its name) means “cool and fresh” in Greek, a reference to the light breeze that blows up from the Akamas and offers a pleasant climate particularly in the hotter months.

The village which only has a population of just over 400 and where life has gone on unchanged for generations is full of character and offers the visitor the opportunity to experience true Cypriot village hospitality. It also has a few very good taverna’s and a small shop.
